SGM - facts and figures 
 
The SGM was founded in 1986. Meanwhile more than a thousand enthusiastic male and female employees are doing a good daily job. They are called "Luftsicherheitsbeauftragte" (security representatives).

The core business of our company at the Munich International Airport is to concentrate on and optimise the nationally recognized security standards for air travel.
 
 
 
Due to our security standards our security representatives confiscated in the year 2006 over 130 000 dangerous items which were not allowed on board. Amongst these items were:
            
  • different types of fire arms
    		•    
  • ammunition of various calibres
    		•
  • other weapons such as harpoons
    		•
  • teargas and other dangerous sprays
    		•
  • harmful chemicals
    		•
  • all types of knifes
    		•
  • axes and ice picks
    		•
  • Other forbidden items according to the fire arms law
    		•
  • Imitations of fire arms
    		•
  • other items which could be used as weapons
    		•
